HEALTHY GUIDE TO LIVING

healthy HomeAlbert Einstein had an interesting take on health when he said, “The devil has put a penalty on all things we enjoy in life. Either we suffer in health or we suffer in soul or we get fat.” Today, there are new health discoveries all the time and alternative medicine is becoming more accepted by mainstream every day. Here’s our guide to the mystery wrapped in a riddle inside an enigma that’s called health.

WEALTH, FINANCES AND THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL

wealthy HomeA friend of mine once said, “If you want to be rich, don’t hang around poor people.” Oscar Wilde’s take was, ““Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” Ayn Rand wrote, ““Wealth is the product of man’s capacity to think.” Another famous saying puts it like this, “So many people spend their health gaining wealth, and then have to spend their wealth to regain their health.” One thing is clear in our new economy, the ones who are work independently, for small business and the solo entrepreneurs are the ones who will flourish in the years to come.

WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

wise HomeWisdom and knowledge have a lot more to do with commons sense than they do with book learning or school grades. Albert Einstein again serves as our spokesperson. “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” “Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience. “ “The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education.” “Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school.” The key is to know what you know and more importantly, what you don’t know. Learn by doing is still the best way to gain understanding, experience and knowledge even if he does require enrollment in the University of Hard Knocks.

FUN. THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH FUN

fun HomeDale Carnegie said, “People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing.” I like “The purpose of fun is to have it.” Henny Youngman’s line was, “My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn’t need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.” The old reliable standby, “Time flies when you’re having fun” makes lots of sense. These days stress seems to be everywhere you turn. Fun, being the opposite of stress, is vital to our getting through the day.
